-There was 38% increas the number of Prescriptions written in May by the 418
doctors, when o February prescriptions written by the same group of
physicians. ( The aggregated average milligrams per day was calculated based on the
number of prescriptions written by the 418 physicians in February (1573 Rx's) and May
(2166 Rx's)).
-A 096 increase i e average milligrams per day written by the 418 physicians was
also n comparing February to May, as follows:
Feb. avg. mlUigrams per day- 1369 mgs.
May avg. rn grams per day- 1611 rugs. io ~
On the following page is the hails dose breakdown among the physicians for both
February and May, as well as from the November 94 and July 94 analysis. Please
keep in mind that the 2/95 and 5/95 data includes all the same doctors while the 7/94
and 11/94

1. Held Merrit-Putnam Speakers Bureau Meetings. Monotherapy data was presented by Ahmad
Beydown, M.D. Additionally, Neurontin promotional strategy during first six months of 1997 was
communicated to over 115 faculty.
2. Vis-Aid development was completed, printed, and distributed to all TMs detailing Neurontin.
3. Held Southern Clinical Symposium at which 200 physicians participated. A variety of Epilepsy topics
were presented at a satellite symposium and will appear as a monograph during the 3rd Quarter in
conjunctionwith Monotherapy indication.
4. The psychiatry care initiative was planned, but was not approved by CME and legal. Alternative plans
are currently being developed.
5. Convention panels of selling message were developed. Worked with conventions department to ensure
consistent implementation at each show.
