Searchable Fields: Expanded Descriptions
Author (au)
Person(s) chiefly responsible for producing the document.
Bates Number (bn)
A combination of numbers and letters stamped on each page of an evidentiary document. When searching for a Bates number, use the following format: bn:x023684*
Case Name/Number (cs)
Name and/or number of the court case the documents were produced for.
Corporate Author (ca)
Corporate body chiefly responsible for producing the document.
Corporate Recipient (cr)
The corporate recipient of a document.
Document Date (dd)
Date on the document, if any. The format is yyyymmdd. Example: August 10, 2004 would appear as 20040810. Note that some documents have no date or only an estimated date.
Date Document Added (ddu)
The date the document was added to the Drug Industry Document Archive. The format is yyyymmdd. Example: September 17, 2009 would appear as 20090917.
Drug (dg)
The drugs mentioned in the document (either brand or generic names).
Document Type (dt)
The format or type of document. Examples of document type include: letter, memo, report, email. Click here to see list of document types.
Exhibit Number (en)
Exhibits entered into evidence. When searching for an Exhibit, to retrieve all related items use the format en:91*
Metadata (md)
All fields excluding the full text (OCR).
Named Organization (no)
Lists mentioned organizations other than Corporate Author or Corporate Recipient.
Named Person (np)
Lists mentioned persons other than author, recipient, or person copied.
Pages (pg)
The number of pages in a document.
Pacer Number (pn)
The pacer numbers are sequential numbers used by the court to keep track of documents submitted to the docket in a court case. Searching for items with the same Pacer number may yield related documents. Only documents from United States of America ex rel. David Franklin v. Parke-Davis, have pacer numbers attached.

Document recipient(s).
Title (ti)
Document title.
